Job Description

• Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.

• Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

• Understand and comply with applicable [CIFRS] accounting principles and policies 

• Develop and document the accounting policies to be used within the Group, with these to be based on latest IFRS and best practice

• Support Group Finance Manager in developing the accounting and financial statement base on standard

• Accomplish accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and enforcing policies and procedures.

• Achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to determining system improvements; implementing change.

• Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.

• Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls.

• Understand current and proposed legislation; enforce accounting regulations; recommend new procedures.

• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

• Provide appropriate training/explanation and monitor compliance

• Investigate accounting matters; reconciles and resolves accounting transactions and issues; approves transactions and adjustments recorded to financial statements

Position Requirements

• University Graduate, major in Accounting and Finance 

• Qualified Accountant and/or extensive practical experience.

• Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in an audit firm or professional services firm is preferred.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge,

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. 

• SAP / ERP system knowledge.

• Advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint 

• Strong presentation, written communications, and report-writing skills in English and Khmer

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills

• Ability to think creatively and innovatively

• Ability to work under pressure

• Accurate and disciplined.

• Able to explain complex technical issues.
