Position purpose

The BD Specialist will be responsible to coordinate all the activities of the Essilor Vision Ambassador program, including business development, field level execution and education & awareness activities. This individual will be implementing the Essilor Vision Ambassador Business model.

In 2013, Essilor group launched an inclusive business initiative, named 2.5 new vision generation, across several countries to provide vision care to underserved populations who do not have access to conventional distribution channels. The Vision Ambassador team in Cambodia aims at bringing vision screening and affordable spectacle dispensing facilities near the doorstep of people in rural and semi-urban areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with BD Manager and proactively propose sales & marketing strategy to achieve sales goals defined by Management Team
  • Grow and establish a network of point of sales in targeted areas
  • Ensure that sales’ needs are represented in business meetings with Management Team
  • Perform regular business reviews with the Essilor Vision Ambassador team
  • Develop promotional and educational materials
  • Organize and manage awareness and vision screening campaigns in provinces
  • Attend team and stakeholders meetings, conferences
  • Ensure timely and detailed documentation of interactions with sales team and point of sales
  • Gather all sales’ weekly reports and draft recommendations and goals for next steps
  • Ensure product inventory on arrival and proper storage
  • Preparation and setting up of Vision screening events ( Inventory, direct sales)

Position Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Business, Entrepreneurship, Sales & Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Medical/Pharmaceutical Business
  • Consistent follow-through on all commitments and communication
  • Understanding of how investment and expenses will affect the business generated
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel 40-60% of the time to urban and semi-urban areas of Cambodia
  • Fluent in Khmer, very good level of English
  • Added advantage if individual has optical industry experience Personality
  • Independent, proactive, autonomous and good interpersonal skills
