Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To identify assets is one of the main responsibilities of a fixed asset accountant.
  • The process of determining the depreciation of an asset involves estimating the life of an asset and its salvage value.
  • Maintaining financial data for all fixed assets which include requisitions and inventories
  • Coordinating project approvals and providing quotes on existing fixed assets.


Key Functions

  • Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
  • Recommend management any updates in accounting policies related to fixed assets.
  • Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system (SAP).
  • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
  • Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
  • Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
  • Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of.
  • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
  • Prepare tax depreciation calculation sheet for TOP purpose returns.
  • Represent the company during any audits by a government that involve fixed assets.
  • Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
  • Supporting QSHE Tasks

  • Management staff to operate the safety management system biological and sanitation

  • Analyzing data and creating special reports and trend analysis.
  • Completing documentation that includes journal entries, month-end analysis and quarterly and capital reports.
  • They are accountable for recording the cost of fixed assets that have been newly acquired.
  • They keep track of existing fixed assets.
  • They keep track of recording depreciation.
  • They perform accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.

Position Requirements


  • Cambodian
  • Bachelor’s Degree of Accounting / Economics or other related field
  • Specific working experience 2 years
  • Good command of Khmer and English, Thai (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
  • Good skills with Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and E-Mail
  • Have the responsibility
